Most women will experience some sort of period pain during their lifetime. This is medically termed as Dysmenorrhoea.
Period pain is usually felt in t he form of painful muscle cramps in the lower tummy region, which may spread to the back and thighs. Some women complain that the pain comes in intense spasms, while others experience a dull but more constant pain.
The pain usually starts when when the bleeding begins, and normally lasts for about 24 hours.
